The Beginning

Welcome to my new blog, "Once You Go Asian...." I have been blogging off and on for nearly four years, though never very consistently until February of this year, at which time I launched my current main blog, Auto-Gratification. As I create posts on Auto-Gratification, I often include pictures of attractive men, since that seems to be of more interest than my engaging writing style (hard to believe, eh?). As you can see from examples such as this post, this post, and this post, I have a pretty broad taste in men.

Some may think this judgmental, but I simply don't understand someone who says, "I'm only into [fill in the ethnicity] guys." While I certainly can understand and appreciate preferences (otherwise I wouldn't be doing this blog), a statement such as that simply reveals that one has a very limited perception of the vast beauty that lies in our diversity. It also shows, I believe, a lack of personal awareness, for I cannot count how many times I have heard someone make a statement such as, "I'm not into Asian guys" and then I show him a few pictures and his song changes its tune very quickly.

Sadly, the internet, with its amazing conduit for the expression of artistic and erotic male beauty, is overwhelmingly dominated by white jocks fresh out of their Abercrombie vacuum-sealed containers. Don't get me wrong, I find those guys beautiful, but shouldn't the internet be more like Baskin-Robbins 31-flavors instead of All Vanilla All the Time? As I began wandering around searching for sites with a broader spectrum of men, I saw that a distant second to the white male sites would be those dedicated to black and/or latino men, but then the sites dedicated to Asian men were pitifully lacking.

This blog is intended to contribute to remedying this problem by showcasing Asian men and illustrating the beauty that is so often missed by those who make foolish statements like "All Asians look the same." It is primarily a photo blog, but I will also write comments related to Asian men and gay life as it relates to them.
